Young nuns and monks

Parents often send their children to Nepalese monasteries to get a proper Tibetan education. These children either come from Tibet or from very remote Himalayan areas where their parents are not able to support them.
No child is turned away
from the monasteries.
They are given clothes, food and a place to sleep as well as an education as a nun or monk. In this way, the children learn reading, writing and arithmetic.
We support this!

July 2009 • Kathmandu

On the 2nd July the Karma Leksheyling monastery in Kathmandu was able to buy 150 meditation cushions with our help.

The monastery houses novices from the entire Himalaya region including Manang. Before this they had to sit on the cold concrete floor.
