Earthquake relief 2015

In 2015, one of the worst earthquakes in the country's history shook Nepal and caused extensive damage. The epicenter was near the capital Kathmandu and countless houses, streets and even some centuries-old temples were destroyed. Thousands of people died, tens of thousands were injured and countless people were left homeless.
Himalaya Karuna provided much help to the earthquake victims during this time - in 2015, the amount of donations almost quadrupled due to the willingness to help because of the earthquake disaster and almost sixty thousand euros were brought directly to Nepal as initial and reconstruction aid. Initial aid included blankets, food and corrugated sheets for roofs to protect against the rain, followed by financial support for the reconstruction of destroyed houses.
